David Lado brings valuable U SPORTS experience and a strong competitive background to the basketball community. Over his two-year university career with the Queen’s University Gaels and the Winnipeg Wesmen, David competed at a high level and made two U SPORTS National Championship appearances. His playing career also includes major team achievements, earning an OUA Silver Medal and a Canada West Silver Medal, giving him experience across two of the most competitive conferences in Canadian university basketball.

Beyond his playing career, David has continued to give back to the game through coaching and player development. He currently serves as the Grade 9 Boys Assistant Coach at KEC for the 2025/26 season and has supported the KEC Varsity Boys and Girls programs as a drop-in coach from 2023 to 2025. Through casual volunteer skills training, David has helped young athletes develop their fundamentals, confidence, and understanding of the game while bringing the perspective of someone who has competed on the national stage.
